SORCAR' S ACME COIN VANISH Here is my original “Coin Vanish’ which will fool not only the lay public but also the experts of our profession. he process is entirely different from all others already known to the magical fraternity he moves are all logical and can be done at very close quarters and with the sleeves rolled up. here are hundreds of ways of coin catching or coin vanishing. his is only an addition to the many existing basic methods of hiding the coin. PRESENTATION:
he magician comes forward with a Rupee (Indian coin) a half penny or a
quarter dollar and shows it to the audience. Then showing both his palms,
unprepared and
thoroughly empty, e proceeds with the new Coin Vanish Trick. ”Vanishing
of Coins”, he proceeds with the new Coin-Vanish Trick.” Vanishing Of
Coins”, he says,” is not at all difficult.” Even the boy of
yesterday can do it. You give him a bit and the next moment he will lose
it-is that not a type of disappearance? But a magician cannot vanish it
like that. He will have to show it to the audience like, then put it in
the left hand like this in full view of the spectators. (Before this the
magician must stress the fact that both his sleeves are rolled up) He must
catch the coin partly between the second and third fingers, as in fig
1.Next he will proceed as in fig 2 and fig 3.The audience has had the
impression that the coin is lying on the palm in the closed right hand.
Not there! The magician opens it as in Fig.4. Both the hands are opened
and both palms shown clean and empty. The coin is gone! (Palming, Passing,
French Drop, Sleeving, Throwing etc., all the probable channels may be
discarded by the ‘magician-audience’, still the coin has escaped!)
When properly executed, as shown in the respective diagrams, the trick
will be so beautifully performed that the most expert magician among your
audience will fail to guess the real secret of this Acme Coin Vanish SECRET : A manipulating magician will find the process to be excellent. He can show it in all perfectness with but very little practice. The real secret of this trick has been clearly shown in the figs.1A and 1B. The innocent looking wrist watch band does it. The bands usually are narrower than the size of the watch . So wear an opaque type of leather band of a bit broader size and the watch must be fixed on the upper side of your wrist. It will facilitate your operation as you can push the coin underneath the watch itself, otherwise it is to be pushed inside the band. The size of the coin used must be according to the size of the band or watch you use. Currently a type of transparent (celluloid) band is found in the market ; these are to be avoided for obvious reasons. But if you wish to push the coin underneath the watch itself, We advise you to buy that particular type. The moves are very easy. Please follow the diagrams and proceed. The coin is caught in the right hand between the second and third fingers and with the thumb above it. As you seem to put it inside your closed left hand, only the thumb and the forefinger remain within the grip, and the coin is carried underneath the hand by the other fingers. As the misdirection is created the second and third fingers push the coin underneath the wristwatch or its band. (It takes much less time to perform the move than you took to read this sentence). Then you are set. With some magical gestures so common to us all, show the right hand empty. The left hand is next opened and then both the hands are opened wide and shown both sides. Excellent finale which the magician spectator will remember for long because you know it is certain that he has been fooled : be courteous to him, offer him a cigarette. |
